We're building a community for what comes next.

XX Invest is a community for UK women who want to back female-founded businesses. You'll hear directly from founders, build your understanding of early-stage investing, and connect with women asking the same questions you are.

Less than 2% of UK venture capital goes to female founders.

That figure has barely moved in a decade. Female-founded businesses consistently outperform – yet they remain the most overlooked part of the market.

86% of UK angel investors are still men. The number of women angels has grown 60% in three years – their share of the market has barely moved.

We think that's a problem worth doing something about.

A community built around founder stories.

XX Invest brings together women who want to back female-founded businesses, hear directly from the people building them, and learn what's involved – together.

We host founders. You listen, ask questions, and decide what happens next. We're not in the middle of that decision – and we've built XX Invest deliberately so we never are.

What membership gets you.

  1. 01

    A network.

Professional women backing female founders – people asking the same questions you are.

  2. 02

    Founder sessions.

Story sessions, dinners and panels where that community actually meets. Structured, time-bounded, built for people without hours to spare.

  3. 03

    Understanding.

A clear picture of how early-stage investing works in general – so you're equipped, never taught from scratch.

You're a professional woman who wants to back female founders. You're curious about early-stage investing but haven't had the time, the network, or the introduction to start. You'd rather hear from founders directly than sit through a traditional pitch circuit.

Built by people who've been in the room.

Julia Elliott Brown

Serial entrepreneur, board chair and strategic advisor to female founders navigating growth, funding and governance. Julia has spent over a decade working at the intersection of entrepreneurship and investment – and has seen firsthand, repeatedly, how the system quietly excludes capable women with capital to deploy.

Sam Cooper-Gray

Former Global Head of SME Strategy at HSBC, where she led a $1bn Female Entrepreneur Debt Fund. Now Chair of The Gender Index and lead of the Conditions to Scale workstream for the UK Government's Invest in Women Taskforce. Sam has spent 25 years making the economic case for backing women – and building the infrastructure to do it.

Together, they're building the community they wish had existed sooner.
